In addition, the membership discussed our historic properties and expressed appreciation for infoZone alerts for bicycle rides and other major events in the Westside Area.

The February, 2019 WCA Annual Meeting was designed to engage our members in helping us create a more connected and caring community. We requested our members provide their input on what is important to them in our 2019 membership mailing and again to over 60 people at the Annual Meeting. As fewer than 10 people responded to the Board's request, the WCA Board can not  prioritized the ideas for potential WCA action. President William Fumich requested that interested members self-nominate for potential Board positions - two at 4 year terms and one 2 year term. Voting materials and ballots were sent via snail mail on March11th with votes due back before March 31st.

At the WCA January 28, 2018 Annual Meeting, our members were informed about the County's Cannabis Ordinance.  Resources and status of activities are available at SonomaCounty.ca.gov/Cannabis (or contact the Cannabis Hotline 707.565.2420 or [email protected] . This is intended to be a "one-stop shop" where people can get up to date information and to check whether there is a permit for a specific property by Parcel number or street address. The "About" section contains the presentation and 2019 Update to Cannabis.

At WCA's 2017 Annual Meeting, a quorum of members voted to approve new By-Laws, including fully inclusive boundaries. In other words, think of the Westside Area as a “travel-shed” starting at the Healdsburg City limit and continuing to River Road.

2017-2018 Wine Grower Sustainability Challenge for the Westside Area.  At our Annual Meeting, we enjoyed dynamic speaker, Karissa Kruse, President of the Sonoma County Winegrowers -- who had us toast our mutual commitment to the protection of agricultural crop production.  See the "About" section for more information.

Previous Annual Meetings were focused on the County's process for the Winery Event Ordinance and preparation of Westside Local Area Guidelines for areas of concentration.

2014 - 2019: Westside Protective Guidelines Petition and History, which lays out the County's Winery Event Ordinance and Westside Guidelines process and delays.  In January 2018, the WCA also presented a recommended "Path Forward: requesting the County pilot a Westside Advisory Forum for stakeholder input on proposed Use Permit Applications. And to address unfounded claims of "lack of transparency and communication," the WCA documented the WCA Communication and Outreach Efforts
